Devotion – Church Family

Why is church participation so important? This is a question most of us either lean completely toward one side or the other on. You are probably so involved in church you are there every time the door opens, in every bible study possible, and doing works inside the church. If you aren’t this you are probably so under involved in church you don’t want to commit to anything. If you are in the later your probably ready to stop reading this I fear of me demoting you to being in the wrong… Don’t. Trust me you wanna hear what is gonna be said next. What if I told you all the people you see that make the church run are working as hard as they can, and over stretching what they can do a lot of times. Because they do this often times they burn themselves out. So from that side of things if your the person that don’t do a ton of work in the church you could step up and free a lot of burden off these people. However this doesn’t make the people in the first category innocent. For the people in the first category what if I told you the people in the second category saw you doing your job and just thought they wasn’t good enough and you could do it better. You see both had good intentions but lacked in communication. When you see brother/sister who every time you see them at church they are doing works in the church don’t be afraid to ask them if they could use some help. Odds are they might could use it. If you are the person doing the work don’t just assume no one will help you. have you ever asked? odds are people will help you and are willing to help but just don’t wanna intrude. As a church for Jesus it is our job to not only help one another but also have the communication skills to tell one another “or help is here if you need it” or “could you help me out I could use it”.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 9Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. 11Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? 12Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
