Go Team

Go Team

The Go Team Ministry is the mission arm of Rosedale Baptist Church. In Mark 16:15, Jesus tells us to “Go into all the world.”  And we do exactly that.  Rosedale Baptist got our first mission experience in 2016 when the floodwaters hit West Virginia.  A group of six men went to help in the relief efforts, but in reality, it was a whole church effort!  From Sunday school classes preparing snack bags to people giving money to people forming prayer groups, everyone was a part of the effort.  It was out of this experience that the church got a hunger for missions and the Go Team was born.  The church voted to give a $5000 seed to start this deacon-led ministry and the balance has never been below the initial investment.  All deacons of Rosedale Baptist receive a debit card and have full access to monies to be used for whatever needs. For example, the deacons can provide a meal or hotel room to a family during a hospital stay or provide hotel rooms for the homeless or house fire victims.  The Go Team is involved in Disaster Relief wherever storms may hit such as Texas, the Carolinas, or even floods that have devastated local communities.  Construction projects such as wheelchair ramps for our local community residents have been a flagship project of the Go Team as well as working on widows’ homes in various ways.  Efforts abroad have been accomplished as well, recently in Africa and continuing to explore opportunities in other areas of the world.  Being a part of this ministry truly does mean “Go” wherever the need is in the world.  Locally, throughout the state, nationally, or even around the world we go and share the love of Jesus!
